At one time, the Missouri Veterans History Project (MVHP) was known for one powerful purpose—giving America’s Veterans a voice. Through the tireless dedication of volunteers, MVHP collected more than 1,000 personal interviews with U.S. Veterans, ensuring that their stories of service, sacrifice, and resilience would live on through the U.S. Library of Congress and the State Historical Society of Missouri.
For years, we proudly captured the memories of those who served on the battlefield and on the homefront. These first-hand accounts became an important part of our national history, allowing future generations to learn directly from the heroes who lived it.
But as the needs of our communities evolved, so did our mission.
MVHP has now transformed into a trusted news and media platform, supporting retirees, Veterans, caregivers, and low-income individuals by offering essential updates on government assistance programs and benefits—across both the United States and the United Kingdom.
Our new focus is simple: to keep our audience informed and empowered with accurate, easy-to-understand updates on topics that matter most, including:
- Social Security, SNAP (food stamps), and stimulus payments
- IRS tax relief and benefit timelines
- UK support programs like DWP, PIP, WASPI, and Universal Credit
- Ongoing changes in cost-of-living support, pension schemes, and disability benefits
Whether you’re navigating retirement, managing disability claims, or trying to understand how recent policy changes affect your financial security, MVHP provides up-to-date, verified information—without the confusion.
While we may have shifted from recording history to delivering news, our mission has always been rooted in service and support. From amplifying the voices of Veterans to guiding citizens through the ever-changing landscape of government aid, we remain committed to helping people understand, access, and benefit from the resources available to them.
So whether you are a retired servicemember, a senior citizen, a carer, or someone simply trying to get clarity on benefit entitlements, MVHP is here to help—informing, supporting, and standing by your side.
Missouri Veterans History Project: Once dedicated to preserving stories of service—now committed to serving through stories that make a difference today.
